Sandwell Aquatics Centre
The state-of-the-art facility was used to host the aquatics events, swimming and diving, during Commonwealth Games 2022.
The aquatics centre includes an Olympic size 50m swimming pool, 10m diving boards, studio pool, three activity studios, two 4-court sports halls, 108 station gym, 25-station ladies only gym, indoor cycling studio, dry diving centre, sauna/steam room, new grass football pitch and changing facilities, new urban park and children’s play area and a café.
The venue has now been reconfigured, which includes the removal of the 4,000 temporary spectator seats, and additional leisure facilities of 2 new multi-use sports halls have been added before the centre reopens as a community facility on the Monday 24th of July in 2023.
