Electrical Contractors Commercial & Domestic
The state-of-the-art facility was used to host the aquatics events, swimming and diving, during Commonwealth Games 2022.
The Aquatics Centre is a flagship leisure facility featuring an Olympic-size 50m swimming pool with 10m diving boards, a dedicated studio pool, three activity studios, and two four-court sports halls. The venue also includes a 108-station gym, a 25-station ladies-only fitness suite, an indoor cycling studio, a specialist dry diving centre, sauna and steam rooms, and a range of supporting leisure and wellness facilities.

Externally, the development incorporates a new grass football pitch with changing facilities, a landscaped urban park, a children’s play area and a café, creating a vibrant destination designed to support both elite sport and community wellbeing.

As part of the venue’s transformation following its major event use, the facility was carefully reconfigured to transition into a long-term community asset. This included the removal of 4,000 temporary spectator seats and the addition of two new multi-use sports halls, significantly enhancing the centre’s capacity to support a wide range of sporting and recreational activities.

Our team was proud to deliver the full electrical installation across the project, supporting the redevelopment of this world-class venue and helping prepare the facility for its reopening as a community leisure centre on Monday 24 July 2023.
