Russell Beard Managing Director Contracts & Design Manager
Russell joined the company from school in 1986 and trained initially to be an electrician and then to become a technician. After qualifying, he spent three years on-site as a Project Manager coordinating various projects before basing himself at HQ to work on estimating, design, and contract management. Current managerial expertise includes: Contract Management, Contract Design, Contract Quotations, NICEIC Qualified Manager.

Warren Beard Chairman
Warren has been working for the company since leaving school. Warren initially qualified as an electrician then technician gaining valuable experience before moving into office management in 1990.
Warren, although now retired from the company, still has a dedicated involvement with corporate evaluations and attends regular monthly management meeting.

Wayne Bedford Non - Executive Director
Wayne joined the company in 1980 becoming one of only three employees at that time. Wayne graduated through the company to become a Director and has been a huge influence in the company’s success.
Although now semi retired, Wayne still has a dedicated involvement in specific contracts.
Wayne is an NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor.

Lyndon Beard Director Contracts & Design Manager
Lyndon has been working for the company since leaving school. Lyndon joined the company in 1987 and trained initially to be an electrician and then to become a technician gaining experience before basing himself at HQ to concentrate on contract management. He has graduated through the company to become a Director.
Lyndon has overseen many contracts including: Perdiswell Leisure Centre, Andover Leisure Centre and is currently working on Sandwell Aquatics Centre.

John Barnes Director Contracts & Design Manager
A committed and experienced individual; after leaving school in 1978 John was the first to join Barrie as an apprentice and has graduated through the company to become a Director.
John initially qualified as an electrician then technician gaining valuable experience before basing himself at HQ to concentrate on contract management. Most recently John has designed and managed 2 new high rise builds for Wates construction, 21 floor and 32 floors Broad St Birmingham, and is currently working with Wates living Space on numerous Birmingham City Council Projects including, Sprinkler systems to high rise, emergency lighting upgrades and a homeless project refurbishment at Oscott Gardens Perry Barr.

Lee Ball Director Contracts & Design Manager
Lee started his career as an apprentice straight from school. He has gradually progressed through the company, gaining qualifications firstly as an Electrician and then as an Approved Electrician, Site Foreman, and became Contracts Manager in July 2009 and senior Contracts Manager in April 2017
In April 2018 he was recognised again as Associate Director and in July 2022 Lee was promoted to the position of Director.
Over the years Lee has overseen and contract managed many projects including: 103 Colmore Row, Thames Valley Business Park, IM Properties, The Liver building and Waltham

Jacqui Emery Director Quality & HSQE
Jacqui joined the company in 2006 and after six years as office secretary/purchase ledger clerk she was promoted to ‘Personal Assistant to all Directors’. In January 2020 Jacqui was promoted to Associate Director and then in 2022 after 16 years of loyal service and commitment to Barrie Beard Ltd, Jacqui was promoted to the position of Director.
Jacqui holds NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety

Darren Stokes Director Contracts & Design Manager
Darren joined Barrie Beard Ltd as an apprentice straight from school in 1993 and has gradually progressed through the company. He gained qualifications firstly as an Electrician and then as an Approved Electrician and Site Foreman, and in this role, he obtained valuable experience.
Darren became Contracts Manager and in April 2017 was promoted to Senior Contracts Manager. In April 2018 he was recognised and promoted to Associate Director.
In 2022, Darren was promoted to the position of Director.
Darren is an NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor.

Daniel Ingram Associate Director
Dan joined the company in 2007 as an apprentice and soon became an Approved Electrician. He excelled in his Site Manager role and competently gained experience on many contracts including; LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art), Gatwick Train Station, Lewisham Leisure Centre and the London West Over-line Train Station upgrade programme.
As a Contracts manager Dan has tendered, designed and project managed numerous large projects for the business. These have included multiple data centres in South Wales. Office fit outs for high end users such as Gymshark, ADIDAS HQ showroom and Irwin Mitchell. Along with these works he has secured and designed various energy saving projects including LED building enhancements, PV installations and specialised LED grow light installations for NAFIC. He also currently specialises in mains upgrades to multi tenanted buildings when the switchgear has reached the end of its shelf life.
In acknowledgement of his successes, in 2022, he was promoted from Contracts Manager to Associate Director where he continues working in his pre contracts estimating, design and project managing role.

Karl Best Associate Director
In July 2002 Karl joined the company as an apprentice and progressed through the company to become a qualified electrician. He gained experience in his role as Site Supervisor coordinating contracts such as The Liver Building in Liverpool and the London Colliseum.
In June 2017 he was promoted to Contracts Manager. In 2023, Karl was promoted to the position of Associate Director.

Matt Chance Associate Director
Matt joined the company in 2005 as an apprentice, then a qualified electrician and subsequently gaining valuable experience as a site foreman. In June 2017, Matt was successful in securing the role of Trainee Estimator and has progressed to Senior Estimator.
In 2023, Matt was promoted to the position of Associate Director.

Jordan Beard Associate Director
Jordan joined as an apprentice in September 2015 and gained valuable in-house training on AutoCAD. Jordan has certifications in BIM (Building Information Model) for Revit Essentials and Revit Content Creation. To complement his understanding of the industry, in September 2016 he enrolled in a level 3 Electrical Installation Day release course at Worcester College.
He also completed training in aspects of accountancy and attended one day per week at Bourneville college. Jordan is currently responsible for managing the drawing department as well as creating the 2D drawings and 3D models, working closely with Contracts Managers during the design process. He also works alongside our Accountant Helen to assist with daily tasks when required.
In 2023, Jordan was promoted to the position of Associate Director.

Helen Faulkner Accounts Manager
Helen joined Barrie Beard Ltd in October 2021 as Accounts Manager. Helen is a meticulous and precise professional with a passion for accountancy.

Chris Wedgbrow Purchasing Manager
Chris is a diligent and meticulous employee who, since leaving school, has graduated through the company. Chris initially trained as an electrical apprentice then after qualifying as an electrician decided he would like to work on electrical computer-aided design and passed a City & Guilds CAD course. Chris successfully passed the Revit Essentials Course for Autodesk Revit MEP (BIM). Chris has now taken on the role of Purchasing Manager.

James O'Brien Senior Small Works Contracts Manager
James joined Barrie Beard Ltd in February 2007 as an electrician. He progressed through the company to site foreman and in June 2019 was promoted to Contracts Manager and will assist in the running of the small works contracts. James will also mentor our own apprentices and develop the skills of our newly qualified electricians, and this in turn will add to our high-standard company skill base.
James is also an NICEIC Qualified Supervisor

Chris Smith Contracts Manager Small Works
Chris joined Barrie Beard Ltd in July 2000 as an apprentice. In December 2022 Chris was promoted to Contracts Manager and started to assist in the running of the small works contracts. Chris shares his knowledge and experience with apprentices and new electricians, boosting our company’s skill base and standards. He is also a NICEIC Qualified Manager.

Ant Bold Contracts Manager
Ant joined Barrie Beard Ltd in February 2010. Ant progressed his way through the company to Site Forman, and has recently been promoted to Contracts Manager.

Zach Beesley Contracts Manager
Zach joined Barrie Beard Ltd in July 2017 and has progressed through the company as an electrician, gaining valuable experience as a site foreman. In August 2021 he was promoted to Contracts Manager

Billy Banyard Estimating / Contracts Manager
Billy brings with him several years of experience within the industry. His enthusiasm and expertise over a wide range of projects will see him play a vital role in our team.

Marc Smith Contracts Manager
Marc joined the company in August 2018 as an adult trainee, after working as a manager at David Lloyd Health and Fitness Clubs for 9 Years. He Qualified as an Electrician in June 2022 and has recently passed his 2391 Inspection and Testing. In November 2023 Marc officially joined the office team and was promoted to Contracts Manager.

Ethan Jackson CAD / BIM Technican
Ethan Joined Barrie Beard Ltd in October 2016 with experience in 3D modelling, along with certification in AutoCAD Essentials, AutoCAD Intermediate, AutoCAD 3D, and passed a Certified User Exam.
In 2017 Ethan completed further college courses in Revit, earning additional certification in Revit MEP Essentials, Revit MEP Advanced, and Revit Content Creation. Ethan works closely with contract managers throughout the design process to create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models. During his time here, Ethan has created 100’s of bespoke 2D AutoCAD “blocks” and 100’s of 3D Revit “families” all tailored to Barrie Beard’s needs, making Ethan a valuable member of the Barrie Beard team.

Sarah Hamilton Head of Marketing
Sarah joined Barrie Beard Ltd in July 2022 as our Head of Marketing, and although she is our newest member of staff, she is a great asset to our team.
Currently, her role comprises of marketing and general administration.

Lauren Beard Senior Office Administrator
Lauren, daughter of Lyndon Beard, joined the company in February 2017 as an Office Administrator and has gradually built her knowledge in all aspects of the business. Her current role compromises wage preparation, invoicing, NIC certification, and general administration.

Charlotte Bedford Office Administrator
Charlotte Bedford joined the company in October 2015 as Office Administrator. Charlotte is the daughter of director, Wayne Bedford, and therefore already has an ardent understanding of our business ethic. Currently, her role comprises of NIC certification, invoicing and general administration.

Gavin Warman Stores Supervisor
Gavin joined us in April 2014 and assists in the logistics of operating a 4500 sq ft warehouse which incorporates a delivery & dispatch area. He has a systematic approach to stores control and all other related duties and is a valued member of the team.

Gavin Mountford Stores and Maintenance Operative
Gavin joined Barrie Beard Ltd in October 2016. He has worked on many sites including LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art), and the Wixams Retirement Village in Bedford.
Gavin is now a stores and maintenance operative within the 4500 sq ft warehouse, assisting with deliveries, van maintenance, general running of the stores and is a valued member of the team.

Stuart Pearman Sales Counter & Warehouse Administrator
Stuart is amongst one of our long-serving staff employees, after joining Barrie Beard Ltd in 1996. He is a versatile employee with a meticulous approach to a variety of duties, including the design of O&M (Operating and Maintenance) manuals, for major contracts as part of the Health and Safety documentation requirements. He has a thoughtful rapport with the general public dealing with counter enquiries.

Tux Retired
Tux the head dog has been a fixture of the office since he was a pup. Tux set the standard to which all the other pups aspire! Now retired, Tux still pops in just to keep an eye on things.

Buddy Part Time
Buddy bring a lot of fun, happiness, and productivity to our office.

Oscar Part Time
Oscar is a cheery chap who instantly brightens the day of everyone he encounters around the office. With his boundless energy and huge smile.

Coco Part Time
Coco, gives a warm welcome in the morning, helps workers to stay healthy and to practice good habits, such as taking breaks.

Bow Part Time
Bow is the son of head dog Tux and brother of Coco. Well known for his outgoing and bubbly personality; Bow is affectionately known as the ‘office clown’. Bow pops in with his dad to check up on things.
