Electrical Inspection Certificate Report
The purpose of an EICR (also known as periodic inspection and testing of an electrical installation), is to determine, so far as is reasonably practicable, whether the installation is in a satisfactory condition for continued service.
A new installation certificate is a test certificate produced by an electrician after they've carried out new installations. It confirms that they've tested the work and it's safe to do so.
The Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate is intended to be used for additions and alterations to an installation that do not extend to the provision of a new circuit. Examples include the addition of socket-outlets or lighting points to an existing circuit, the relocation of a light switch etc.
All certificates are checked by our qualified supervisors on behalf of the NICEIC.
Certificates / Reports
The type of certification or report you receive depends on the extent and type of electrical installation work, or inspection and testing, that you have had carried out.
