Community building with lighting to FA standards on 18 metre columns and floodlit training facilities
Barrie Beard Ltd were involved in the electrical and mechanical design and installation at Hoe Valley Community Centre. The community building was sub metered and divided into the following areas: Westfield Football Club, Boxing Club, Guides and Sea Rangers, District Scouts, 7th Scouts and Army and Air Cadets – complete with a shooting range.
The community building has a newly laid football pitch with lighting to FA standards on 18 metre columns, together with flood lit training facilities. Within the halls are luminaires which can be raised or lowered for ease of maintenance.
The building was designed to a BREEM excellence standard using a district combined heating and power unit (CHP).
