Morden Leisure Centre
New family leisure centre on London Road with state-of-the-art facilities
The new Morden Leisure Centre was completed in September 2018 in conjunction with main building contractor Pellikaan Construction Ltd. The new family leisure centre on London Road will replace the 1960’s Morden Park Pools and includes a 25m six-lane pool, a large second pool with moveable floor for aqua aerobics; diving boards; a fitness suite with approximately 100 stations; a large studio / community room and a café.
The leisure centre will also feature state of the art disabled facilities including a designated ‘changing places’ room, which will house an accessible toilet and shower, changing table and hoist. There will also be a ‘pool pod’ which is a special platform by the pool which gives ease of access for disabled swimmers to get in and out of the water.
