Project Objectives
The key objective was to deliver a high-quality electrical installation within a challenging 22-week programme, ensuring all systems were installed, tested and fully operational in accordance with the client's specification.
The project also provided an opportunity to establish a strong working relationship with Morgan Sindall and demonstrate Barrie Beard's ability to deliver complex electrical projects to the high standards expected by a Tier 1 contractor.
Project Challenges & Delivery
The project was delivered to a demanding programme, requiring close coordination between our installation teams, specialist subcontractors and the wider project team.
Working to Tier 1 standards required detailed technical submissions, extensive coordination and comprehensive O&M documentation. The project also highlighted the importance of early planning and ensuring documentation requirements are considered throughout the project rather than at completion.
The completed project has provided Selly Oak Trust with a modern, fully integrated electrical infrastructure designed to support the specialist requirements of an SEN school, incorporating both robust electrical systems and renewable energy technology.
