Nominated for Worcestershire Medium Apprenticeship Employer of the Year 2026

Barrie Beard Electrical Contractors Ltd. is proud to announce that we have been nominated for Medium Apprenticeship Employer of the Year at the Worcestershire Apprentice Awards 2026. 

 

Apprenticeships have been an important part of Barrie Beard for many years, and our commitment to developing the next generation of skilled electricians remains a key part of our approach to building the future of the business. 

 

Currently, 72.2% of our workforce are current or former apprentices, demonstrating the long-term impact of our apprenticeship programme and our commitment to investing in people. Many of those who began their careers with us as apprentices have gone on to develop into highly skilled and experienced members of our team. 

 

Our apprentices benefit from a combination of practical training in our dedicated workshop and valuable on-site experience, working alongside experienced electricians across a wide range of projects. This provides them with the opportunity to develop both their technical skills and practical knowledge in a real working environment. 

 

Following our success at the Worcestershire Apprentice Awards 2025, where we were honoured to receive both the Medium Apprenticeship Employer of the Year and overall Apprenticeship Employer of the Year awards, being nominated again in 2026 is a fantastic achievement for everyone at Barrie Beard. 

 

We would like to thank all of our current and former apprentices, as well as the team members who support, train and mentor them throughout their careers. Their hard work and commitment are a huge part of the success of our apprenticeship programme.
