Barrie Beard Ltd were involved with the base build and the fit out of this high specification government Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency building with bespoke lighting to dining areas and offices, utilising natural light as a way of dimming luminaires and with feature lighting to open plan areas utilising a made-to-measure chilled beam system and state of the art controls system. The building also has impressive external feature lighting to columns, 6th floor balconies and rooftop areas. We were also involved in the state of the art automatic night time purging system, where the building management system opens small windows around all the floors allowing the building to ventilate at night time. We were also involved with the gas suppression system in the four communication rooms.
